When Nobody Believes In You Yet

When Nobody Believes in You Yet

A devotional for the woman whose vision is bigger than her current audience

Scripture

“For the Lord does not see as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” – 1 Samuel 16:7
Today’s Truth

They don’t see it yet. The people closest to you. The ones who should be your biggest cheerleaders. They look at where you are right now and can’t quite see where you’re going.
They ask questions that feel like doubt. They offer “concern” that feels like discouragement. They support you – but cautiously. With conditions. With “just be realistic” attached. With “what’s your backup plan” energy.
And it STINGS. Because you want the people you love to see what you see. To believe what you believe. To have faith in the vision the way you do.
But here’s what David knew when Samuel came to his house: his own father didn’t even call him in from the field. Didn’t think enough of him to present him with his brothers. His own family didn’t see the king in him.
But GOD did.
And God’s belief in you is worth more than every person who ever doubted you COMBINED.
He saw the king in David before David had a crown. He saw the leader in Moses before Moses had followers. He saw the warrior in Gideon before Gideon had an army. He saw the empire-builder in YOU before you had the revenue to prove it.
You don’t need people to believe in your vision before you pursue it. You need GOD to believe in it. And He already does – He’s the one who put it in you.
The people who don’t see it yet? Some will come around when the results are undeniable. Some won’t – and that’s okay. Your assignment was never to convince them. It was to be OBEDIENT to the One who called you.

Your Moment

Today, stop waiting for people to believe in you before you fully believe in yourself.
Stop shrinking your vision to make it more digestible for people who aren’t even your target audience. Stop explaining and justifying and defending your dream to people who didn’t receive it.
Just BUILD. Let the work speak. Let the results answer the skeptics. Let God vindicate what He assigned.
The right people will catch up. And the ones who don’t? They were never meant to be in your front row anyway.

Prayer

God, when I feel unseen and unsupported, remind me that YOU see me. You saw the vision before I did. You believe in this calling more than anyone ever could. Help me stop seeking validation from people and start drawing confidence from You. Let their doubt become my fuel and Your belief become my foundation. I don’t need everyone’s approval. I just need Your assignment. And I already have it. Amen.
God saw the king in David before anyone else did. He sees what’s in you too. Keep building.
