God Restores What Was Stolen

God Restores What Was Stolen

A devotional for the woman reclaiming what hard seasons tried to take

Scripture

“I will repay you for the years the locusts have eaten.” – Joel 2:25
Today’s Truth

There were seasons that took something from you. Time you can’t get back. Money you had to spend on survival instead of growth. Peace that financial stress stole from your sleep. Confidence that hard circumstances chipped away. Years that felt like they were eaten up by struggle instead of producing fruit.
The NICU season. The paycheck-to-paycheck years. The seasons where you were just trying to keep your head above water instead of building toward your dreams. Those were real losses. Real time. Real resources. Real peace that got stolen by circumstances you didn’t choose.
And here’s what God promises: He doesn’t just comfort you in the loss. He REPAYS it.
Not just emotionally. Not just spiritually. PRACTICALLY. He restores the years. He gives back what the hard seasons took. He doesn’t just heal the wound – He repays the cost.
This means the years that felt wasted weren’t actually wasted – they’re owed to you, and God is the one who settles that debt. The time you “lost” building your foundation while struggling? He’s going to give you BACK that time in productivity, breakthrough, and blessing that moves faster than you imagined possible. The financial setbacks you endured? He’s preparing financial setUPS that more than make up for them.
What the locusts ate, God repays. What the hard seasons stole, He restores. What felt like loss is being converted into a debt that Heaven is going to settle.
You’re not just moving forward from your hard seasons. You’re being REPAID for them.

Your Moment

Today, stop grieving what those hard seasons took as if it’s permanently gone. Start expecting the repayment God promised.
Look at every year that felt eaten up, every season that felt stolen, every resource that felt wasted – and declare that God is repaying it. Not just replacing it. REPAYING it – with increase, with interest, with blessing that exceeds what was lost.
The locusts don’t get the final say. God does. And He’s already writing the check.

Prayer

God, thank You for the promise of repayment. Thank You that the years the hard seasons ate aren’t lost forever – You’re going to restore them. Heal what was stolen. Repay what was taken. Turn every season of loss into a testimony of Your restoration. I’m not just moving on from what I’ve been through. I’m expecting repayment for it. Settle every debt the enemy thought he could keep. Amen.
What the locusts ate, God repays. Expect restoration, not just recovery.
