I'm Kendra Nix — wife, mom, NICU survivor, and corporate baddie. But let me tell you the real story.
I did everything "right." I earned my degrees in Economics and Information Systems, climbed the corporate ladder, and built a career that looked impressive from the outside. But I was building on someone else's terms, not my own.
After spending 123 days in the NICU with my son, I came out on the other side feeling behind — behind in my career, behind in my finances, and behind in life. While the world kept moving, I was in that hospital fighting for my baby and trying to keep myself together at the same time. And when we finally made it out, the weight of feeling like I had missed so much didn't just disappear. It followed me.
But with the unwavering support of my husband and my village, I found my footing again. They held me up when I didn't have the strength to hold myself, and that support gave me the space to dream bigger than I ever had before. I realized that the corporate world alone was never going to be enough for me. I had the education, I had the experience — but none of it meant anything if I wasn't building something on my own terms. I was called to something with more purpose, more freedom, and more meaning.
So I built it.
Now I teach moms how to go from behind to paid — helping them turn their skills, stories, and strengths into real income without sacrificing the presence their families deserve. I know what it feels like to play catch-up while holding everything together. I know what it feels like to wonder if you'll ever feel caught up again. And I know that with the right support and strategy, you absolutely can.
I'm not just talking about balance — I've built it. And I'm on a mission to make sure no mom feels like she has to choose between showing up for her family and showing up for her bag.
